A YEAR OF GROWTH FOR THE ATLANTIC CITY CONVENTION VISITOR’S BUREAU
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (Friday, December 11, 2015) Meet AC and the Atlantic City Sports Commission had a tremendous year in 2015 and we are eager to share our accomplishments. Highlights include landing two major industry shows with Meeting Professionals International and TEAMS, who have selected Atlantic City as their 2016 convention host city.
In 2015, future hotel room night bookings are projected to be up 34 percent over last year and in two short years, hotel room night bookings have doubled. Also, future convention delegate spending is up 31 percent over 2014 and projected delegate spending is up 70 percent over the past two years. The total Meet AC projected production year end will consist of 228,986 room nights and delegate spending will reach up to $185,639,748 million. In addition, for every $1 of luxury tax Meet AC invested in 2015, it’s returning $23 back to our local economy.

Meet AC, Inc. was officially formed as a 501(c)(6) organization on June 23, 2014. Prior to its formation, the Meetings and Convention sales and marketing group was operating under the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA). Meet AC, a tourism economic development agency, will focus on three primary objectives: sales, marketing and services.
