EDISON, NJ (Nov. 21, 2023) – Tickets are now on sale for the 2024 Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships at historic Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey from March 12-16.
All-session tickets are available for fans who would like to see multiple sessions throughout the championship. All-session ticket packages range from $100 to $230. All tickets can be purchased by visiting ticketmaster.com or by visiting maacsports.com/basketball.
Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall has served as the host venue for the MAAC Basketball Championships for four consecutive years dating back to 2020 and last March the venue agreed to a three-year extension, making Boardwalk Hall the host site for the MAAC through 2026. Additionally, the MAAC announced a multi-year renewal with Hercules Tires as the title sponsor of the MAAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships earlier this month. The five-day event will feature the league’s Men’s and Women’s Basketball championships, Esports Spring championships, and a number of MAAC ancillary events.
Last year, Iona University men’s and women’s programs swept both the MAAC Regular Season titles and MAAC Championship trophies. For the men’s team, it was the Gaels’ MAAC-leading 14th championship and for the women’s team it was the program’s second championship. Through two weeks of the 2023-24 season as of Sunday, November 19, Quinnipiac (4-1), Manhattan (3-1), and Marist (2-1) are leading the way on the men’s side, while MAAC men’s team as a collective have posted a 9-1 home mark thus far. On the women’s side, the MAAC has had slightly more success, with a trio of teams sitting tied atop of the league standings with identical 2-1 records, while more than half the conference has records of .500 or above. Leading the pack are Fairfield, Marist, and Siena at 2-1, while Manhattan, Niagara, and Rider have 2-2 overall records.
