ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (Monday, October 1, 2018) As the fall season kicks into high gear, the Atlantic City Convention Center will be bustling with activity during the month of October. The facility will welcome more than 15,000 industry professionals over the course of seven events throughout the month.

Included among this week’s events is the 2018 Northeast Regional Carwash Convention (NRCC), which will take place starting today and conclude Wednesday, October 3. The 2018 Pizza & Pasta Northeast Expo will converge October 3-4 and welcome pizza and Italian restaurant professionals.

This coming weekend, Alter Reality Games will take over the building where multiple trading card games will occur. Next week, the Atlantic Coast Veterinary Conference will take place October 8-11 and provide veterinary healthcare professionals with unmatched continuing education and networking opportunities.

Next up, human resource professionals will begin their 27th Annual Garden State Council SHRM Conference & Expo on Sunday, October 14. The programming for the Conference & Expo will include over 60 concurrent sessions and six mega sessions, along with three outstanding keynote speakers.

A one-day dance workshop, WILD Dance Intensive will occur Sunday, October 21, which features an intensive workshop where the focus is on the class, not the competition.

Lastly, 2018 Annual NJ School Boards Workshop, the largest professional development event for school leaders in New Jersey will be held October 23-24. To be a truly effective school leader, you need the right tools, training, resources and support and that is what Workshop is all about.

Local Atlantic City businesses are expected to greatly benefit from this month’s activity at the convention center. The estimated economic impact is expected to reach more than $10.8 million. In addition, over 12,600 hotel rooms have been contracted by convention center visitors throughout the month.

“October marks the start of a busy season for both our Spectra team members and partners that runs through November and into December,” said Spectra’s Dean Dennis, general manager of the Atlantic City Convention Center. “The City and its attractions will definitely see some great business from these upcoming groups.”
